It’s All About the View!

The Unionville area is renowned for its horse farms and equestrian sports such as fox hunting, steeple chasing, and polo.

The older historic homes on the tour have been gracefully updated to accommodate modern lifestyles while retaining an English countryside feel. Among the houses on this year’s tour this year are two “sister houses,” the homes of the legendary Nancy Penn Smith Hannum and her sister, Averell Penn Smith Walker. For 58 years Mrs. Hannum served as the Master of Foxhounds and both their houses are full of photographs, paintings and fascinating memorabilia of the Hunt.

And for a special treat, you’ll visit the former Unionville Academy, where the Kennett Library’s namesake, Bayard Taylor, was educated.

From 10 am to 4 pm.
